Alfred Turnbull Obituary

Plymouth Alfred Bud D. Turnbull, Jr., 86, of Plymouth, formerly of Long Island NY, August 15. Devoted husband of Beatrice (Lefaivre) Turnbull. Loving father of Alfred D. Turnbull III of Easton MA, the late Adrienne Turnbull, and Step Father of James of Maine, David of Indiana, and Brian Garrity of Nevada. Born in Whitman MA, June 10, 1922, son of the late Alfred Sr. and Catherine (OBrien) Turnbull. Bud graduated from Whitman high School and later from Electrical School. He served in the Army Air Force in WWII, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He worked as an Electronics Tech. for Sun Electrical Corp. and also as a T.V. Repair Man for Jordan Marsh. Bud enjoyed repairing electronics, always having a T.V. repair business on the side. He was also an avid reader, and loved crossword puzzles. Bud was a member of The American Legion, the Plymouth Elks, and The Long Island Moose Club. A Funeral Service will take place at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St. Plymouth, on Tuesday, August 19, at 7:00 p.m, following 4:00-7:00 p.m. calling hours. Cremation will take place at the Duxbury Crematory. A burial will take place at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, August 22, at 11:30 a.m. Donations in Buds memory may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of Massachusetts, 46 Totten Pond Rd Suite 400, Waltham MA 02451. Mr. Turnbull,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USAAF during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
