William Gardiner Obituary

Quincy William G. Gardiner, died at Kindred Hospital in Braintree on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at age 60. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he lived here all his life. He worked at Quincy City Hospital for 30 years before retiring. The beloved son of the late David D. and Mary R. (Ceriani) Gardiner, Bill is survived by his brother, David L. Gardiner of Quincy and his sister Gail Alden of Halifax, as well as his nieces and nephews, David, Daniel and Denise Gardiner and Scott Alden and his great nephew and niece, David and Alexis Gardiner. He was the nephew of Alma Ceriani and the late Celestina R. Sawtelle. His funeral will be from the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St. Quincy Center on Wednesday, August 20 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, West Quincy at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial in Mount Wollaston Cemetery. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
