Carol Howard Obituary

Norwell Carol A. (Simon) Howard, formerly of Norwell, age 71, died August 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease. Born in Oakland, CA, Carol was the beloved daughter of Elsa and Alexander Simon of Summit, NJ. Carol was the devoted wife and loving companion of Robert J. Howard for 43 years. She leaves her two daughters, Susan G. Howard of Seattle, WA. and Lisa A. Howard of Scituate, Ma. and her sister Judith Vreeland of Basking Ridge, NJ. Carol was formerly the owner of Designer Lamps and Shades of Hanover, MA, where her fine craftsmanship and generous spirit touched the lives of many. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 23 from 1-4 p.m. at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthonys Church), Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carols memory to the Residents Activity Fund, c/o Coyne Health Care, 56 Webster St., Rockland, Ma. 02370 would be greatly appreciated.
