Esther O'Brien Obituary

Braintree Esther C. (O'Rourke) O'Brien, a lifelong resident of Braintree died August 19 at S. Shore Hospital. She was 79. She attended schools in Braintree. Esther was the former owner of O'Rourke's Restaurant & Lounge in Braintree and Bay State Antiques in Weymouth. Beloved wife of the late Paul P. O'Brien. Mother of Margaret Reynolds and her husband Frank and Patrice O'Brien, all of Braintree. Sister of Margaret Morris and Alice Cavanaugh, both of Braintree and the late Andrew, Richard, John and Mathew O'Rourke. Also survived by her grandsons Paul and Frank Reynolds. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 S. Franklin St., (Rt. 37) Holbrook, Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis Assisi Church, Braintree at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Interment Mass National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Esther's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
