Rose M. Hettstrom

BRAINTREE Rose M. (Milton) Hettstrom, 89 years of age of Braintree passed away at the Harbor House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Hingham on Sunday. She was born in Braintree and was a lifelong resident of the town. She graduated from Braintree High School and Mansfield Beauty Academy of Quincy where she later became an instructor. She was the co-owner with her two sisters Louise Rayburn and Mary Ludwin of the Milton's Hair Styling Salon in Braintree. She was a member of the South Congregational Church of Braintree where she had been a former Sunday School Teacher. She was extremely devoted to her family. She was the wife of the late Arnold Carl Hettstrom who died in 1955. She is the mother of Edward A. Hettstrom of Cohasset, Arlene Ferreira of Cohasset, and Jane Ross of Abington. She is the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, Kim Jalewsky of Scituate, Lisa Evans of Cohasset, Gregory Ferreira of Cohasset, Lori Casey of Abington, Heidi Johnson of Abington, Erica Aguilar of Framingham, and Tara Hettstrom of Boston. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren. She was the devoted sister of Armen Milton of Braintree, Mary L. Ludwin of Cohasset, and the late Louise V. Rayburn. A Graveside Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree on Thursday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. Those attending are asked to meet at the office opposite the cemetery grounds. Memorial donations may be sent to the Harbor House Activities Fund, 11 Condito Road, Hingham, MA 02043. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N.
