MARSHFIELD Ruth M. (Jordan) Henderson, 95, of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Died peacefully on Monday, August 25,2008 at Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newburyport, Massachusetts with family by her side. Daughter of Herbert E. Jordan and Florence Jackson Jordan, Ruth was born in Mansfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Marshfield High School. She was the wife of the late James Russell (Russ) Henderson of Marshfield. Ruth is survived by her three sons, Robert Henderson of Harpswell, Maine, Peter Henderson of Newburyport, Massachusetts, and David Henderson of Harwichport, Massachusetts, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren Ruth was past president of the Marshfield Womens Club, a member of the First Congregational Church of Marshfield, the Rexhame Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, and the Marshfield Garden Club. She was known for her joy of life and had a passion for birds and gardening. She will be missed by all who knew her. Family and friends may visit during visiting hours on Thursday, August, 28th, from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 noon at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield, MA. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home to celebrate Ruths life immediately following visiting hours. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Ruths memory to the Port Rehabilation and Nursing Center Activities Fund, Hale and Low Streets, Newburyport, MA. 01950. The World has lost a beautiful person. Ruth was such a special lady I will always remember her . Although I have not seen her for many years, she always remained in my thoughts.
