Unfortunately we were away at the time and have only just now been made aware of Frank's passing. Cindi, Andrea and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the entire Howard family. Some of our fondest memories of living on Norfolk Road come from being next-door neighbors for nearly seventeen years. As a little girl, Andrea would visit Rita, make tea for the two of them, and chit-chat, or she would avail herself of the standing invitation to play in the pool (Rita would "charge" her 25 cents for the privilege--we still laugh about that). I enjoyed the numerous conversations that Frank and I had over the years, most of them held while hanging out by the fence.
Frank was a gracious, thoughtful soul, and quick to smile. Anybody who knew him was somehow better for having known him. Rest In Peace, Frank--Cindi, Andrea and John Davidson.

To Nana, the Washek and Howard families-

I am so lucky to have had grandpa in my life, I will cherish his memory and the times we spent together. I will never forget the advise he would give me at Christmas time as we would sit by the fire. My thoughts and heart goes out to all of you. Grandpa will be missed.

Dear Barbara, Dave and I were so sorry to learn of Frank's passing. We know he suffered for a long time, and it was difficult for you to see him so ill. We're grateful we got to know you and Frank through The Bean Post and in Florida. When you met us at the airport you were a welcome sight. Frank was an interesting man with many amusing stories to tell. We missed him and thought about him throughout his illness and hope that he is now at peace. Our Deepest Sympathy. Kathy and Dave

Frank Howard was a man amongst men. He was kind, funny, and loved his children very much. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, but am relieved he is no longer in pain and am sure he is in heaven . As child growing up across the street from Frank I often played with his younger daughter Judy, and spent a lot of time at his house. He loved to lauph and introduced me to the stooges, as he would often call me "moe". I think he liked shemp the best,or was it curly?I learned what bug juice was from Frank and will never forget his generosity in wanting us kids to have fun in the pool they had in the back yard. He will be deeply missed and I wish the best for his children and grandchildren as I know how difficult a time this is. God Bless all of you, especially Mr. Howard.
