Mary Proctor Obituary

Hanover Mary E. (Hilson) Proctor passed away at her home in Hanover on Monday, August 25, 2008 after being ill for a long time. She was 69. Born in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Weymouth High School. She was a telephone operator in Quincy, a nurses aide for several hospitals in and around the Boston area. She was also employed by the Halliday Lithograph Co., formerly in Hanover, for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid card player. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Proctor. The daughter of the late Alaxander R. and Anna F. (Cronin) Hilson. She was the loving and devoted mother of Harold D. Harmon of West VA, Viva Hollis of Chelsea, Ellen Robbins of Hanover, Francis W. Proctor of Tampa, FL, Arthur W. Proctor of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel L. Proctor of Vista, CA, Trina K. Johnson of East Wareham, John M. Proctor of East Hartford, CT, Robert J. Proctor of Quincy and the late Karen Proctor of Middleboro. Sister of Dotty Evans and her husband "Chip" of Hanover, John Hilson and his wife "Peg" of Holbrook, and the late James Hilson and his wife "Gert" of Springfield. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St., (corner of Rte. 58), HANSON on Monday, September 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2nd at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent in Mary's name to Old Colony Elderly Services of Brockton, 144 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
