Olga Lyons Obituary

DUXBURY Mrs. Olga E. (Vantura) Lyons, 81, of Duxbury, MA, died Saturday, August 30, 2008. The daughter of the late John and Olga (Petersen), Olga was born on August 25, 1927. She was raised and educated in Belmont and Provincetown, MA, and was a graduate of Tufts University. She was married to her beloved husband, the late Frederick T. Lyons Jr., for 56 years. They lived in Chappaqua, NY for 35 years and were parishioners at Sts. John and Mary. They moved to Duxbury 16 years ago. Olga is survived by her six children, John (Marjorie) Lyons of Larchmont, NY, Susan Lyons of San Jose, CA, Maryann (George) Civita of Ellicott City, MD, Patricia Lyons of Brewster, NY, Kathleen (Patrick) Vaughan of Norwell, and Frederick T. Lyons III (Jennifer) Lyons of Pound Ridge, NY, and 11 grandchildren. Visiting hours will be at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, HANOVER on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St., Rte. 3A in Duxbury. Interment will follow in the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury, MA. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. www.alzmass.org.
