Mary Bessette Obituary

CARVER Mary E. (Sullivan) Bessette, age 88, passed away at her home in Carver on Monday, September 1. Mary was born and raised in Jamaica Plain and lived there until moving to Carver 14 years ago. She retired at age 74 after working 35 years at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Mrs. Bessette was employed with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Bessette. Devoted mother of Mary Young of Florida, Eileen MacNiven of Weymouth, Joanne Monestime of Reseda, Calif., Joseph H. Jr. of Carver, and John M. Bessette of Halifax. Beloved sister of the late Margaret Dee and Edith Pajzer. Loving Grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Friday, September 5 at 9:15 a.m. Graveside Service at Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
