Barbara Grefe Obituary

PLYMOUTH Barbara E. (Harding) Grefe, August 30th entered into a much deserved rest surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on April 6, 1919 in Dorchester, MA. She devoted her life to her children, Philipp Grefe and his wife Susan of Milton, Elizabeth Stetson and her husband Thomas of Texas, Margaretta Bergiel and her husband Raymond of Plymouth, Nicholas Grefe and his wife Elizabeth of Barnstable, Barbara Keegan and her husband Laurence of Walpole and Donald Grefe of West Bridgewater and the late David Grafe and his wife Nancy. Grandmother of Thomas and Adam Stetson, Matthew Bergiel, Benjamin Grefe, Andrew and Brian Keegan, Nicholas and Sarah Grefe. Great-grandmother of Lauryn Stetson and Jacob Bejarano. Barbara worked many years in the Braintree School System with special education students. She continued to advocate for people when she moved to Plymouth where she worked for the council on Aging and was a SHINE and RSVP volunteer. Her family and friends will love and miss her forever. Funeral Service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth. Visiting hour from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday. Burial in Blue Hills Cemetery Braintree. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991.
