Rita Klim Obituary

Rita A. Klim STOUGHTON Rita A. (Kelleher) Klim died at her home after a brief illness on September 14, 2008. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, Rita was born on December 26, 1921. She was the wife of the late Anthony M. Klim who passed away earlier this years, and the daughter of the late Daniel and Gertrude (Willis) Kelleher. She is survived by her children, Martin and his wife Paula of Winthrop, Karen and her late husband Paul Angell, Sr. of Taylors, SC, Kevin of Stoughton, Brian and his wife Anne of Stoughton, Christopher of Plymouth, Mary Sandoval of Cumberland, RI, Monica and her husband Daniel Kerman of Atkinson, NH, Colleen and her husband Mark Jordan of Berkley; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Rita was the sister of Marie Winchester, Margaret Sheehan, Donald Kelleher, Richard Kelleher, and the late Frederick Kelleher, and leaves several nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family, especially here many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita was an employee of the Stoughton School System, retiring as an Administrative Assistant within the Superintendent's Office. She also worked as a Receptionist at the former Goddard Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and a member of the Third Order of St. Frances through the Chapel of Our Savior. Rita enjoyed music and playing the organ, and spent many summers on Peter's Pond in Sandwich, MA and winters in Venice, FL. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 18 at 9 a.m. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk St., Stoughton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of her soul at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the MA Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 17 from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory to Thoracic Oncology Research Fund, c/o Daniel Costa, M.D., Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline, Ave., Boston, MA 02215, would be appreciated.
