Louise Dearn Obituary

C. Louise Dearn BRAINTREE C. Louise (Sweinimer) Dearn, age 91 years, of Braintree, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Monday, September 15 at the Alliance Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Norman Dearn. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Christina (Ross) Sweinimer. She was a 1935 graduate of Brockton High School and a 1939 graduate of Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Dearn taught first grade in Brockton and later taught kindergarten at St. Paul's Parish Day School and also substituted in the Brockton Public Schools. She was a life long member of St. Paul's Church, a former church school teacher and also served on the altar guild. She was a former member of the Junior Women's Club and the P.M. Club, both of Brockton. She served on the reunion committee of her high school class. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Mrs. Dearn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kathleen Dearn of Braintree and a grandson, Michael James Dearn of North Adams, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Parish, 701 Pleasant St., Brockton, MA 02301. Interment will follow the service in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA. For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.d-mfh.com.
