BRAINTREE Catherine M. (Manganello) "Jo MacDonald, 77, of Braintree died on Friday, September 19, 2008. She was born in Braintree and was a lifelong resident of the town. She graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1949. She was a career homemaker,was a wonderful cook, devoted to her family and was a fun grandmother. She was the wife of the late Braintree Police Officer Charles O. MacDonald who died September 11, 1981. Beloved mother of Cynthia C. McCormack and her husband Robert McCormack of Plymouth, Charles O. MacDonald, III of Braintree, Jeffrey MacDonald and his wife Susan MacDonald of Braintree, Lori McConnell of Weymouth, and Michelle Canavan and her husband Joseph Canavan of Plymouth. Sister of Angela Porreca of Braintree and Julia Manganello of Braintree. the late Lucius Manganello, Vito Manganello, Frances Manganello, Abel Manganello and Mary Kelliher. Loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren: Jeffrey, Brett and Taylor McCormack of Plymouth, Stefanie, Charles IV and Tyler MacDonald of Braintree, Caley, Jake and Ashley MacDonald of Braintree, Mark and Catherine McConnell of Weymouth, and Daniel Drogo of Weymouth, and Drew and Paige Canavan of Plymouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty St., BRAINTREE HIGHLANDS on Tuesday, September 23 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home are being omitted. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree.
