Dolores "Dolly" Lenardis

HANSON Dolores Dolly (Costello) Lenardis, 64 of Hanson died on September 23, 2008 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was born in Stoughton, daughter of Catherine (Deveney) Costello of NH and the late William J. Costello. She was raised in Roxbury and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. She had been a longtime Rockland resident and has made her home in Hanson for the past 8 years. She and her husband have wintered at Marco Island in Florida since 1999. Dolly was a dental assistant for over thirty years, having previously worked at Randolph Family Dental and most recently at the office of Dr. John Young in Rockland. She loved to cook, garden, travel to Foxwoods and to sing and dance. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband James A. Lenardis and their children, William T. Royal of E. Bridgewater, Joseph G. Royal of Rockland, Georgia R. Lenardis of E. Boston, Thomas E. Royal of E. Bridgewater, Brenda L. Murphy of Hanson and Susan R. Lenardis of S. Boston. She was also the mother of the late David J. Lenardis. She was the sister of William J. Costello of Brockton, John E. Costello, Frances E. Lenardis and Edward Costello , all of NH and the late Maureen R. Devine and Richard M. Costello . Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Funeral will be held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., ROCKLAND, on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 8:15 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in Holy Family Church at 9:00 AM.
