Dorothy Sawyer Obituary

WEYMOUTH Dorothy Mary Sawyer of South Weymouth died unexpectedly Wednesday September 24, 2008 at her brothers home in Braintree. She was 83 years of age and was raised and educated in Cambridge. She lived in the Forest Park section of South Weymouth for over 40 years. Dorothy retired in 1981 after working 40 years as a Medical Underwriter for John Hancock Mutual Insurance Co. in Boston. She graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School. Among her interests, she loved playing bingo. Devoted sister of Albert J. Sawyer Jr. of Braintree. Loving aunt of Joseph P. Sawyer of Boston. Beloved daughter of the late Albert J. and Ricarda (Martinez) Sawyer. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opposite South Shore Hospital) Saturday at 8:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 9 oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday from 58 P.M. My deepest sympathys to the entire family. I have great memories of Dorothy. She was always very kind to my children and myself. May you all find comfort at this difficult time.
