Charlotte Laaperi Obituary

Charlotte G. Laaperi SAN DIEGO Charlotte G. Lottie (Parker) Laaperi, formerly of Quincy, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2008. Mrs. Laaperi was born in Eastport, Maine, and was raised and educated in Eastport. She graduated from High School. She had lived in California for four years, previously living most of her life in Quincy. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Russia. She also enjoyed playing the lottery, eating lobsta, and spending time with her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late David W. Laaperi. Devoted mother of David W. Laaperi II and his wife Debra M. (Lord) Laaperi of Braintree, Stevan R. Laaperi and his wife Karen (Edmunds) Laaperi of Bonita, CA, and Cheryl Ann Laaperi of Chicago, IL and her late husband Rodney McMahan. Loving grandmother of Matthew Laaperi and his wife Iris, Marissa, Katherine, James David, and Juliana Laaperi, and Michael and Beckett McMahan. Great-grandmother of Alicia Zawadzki and Pietro Araujo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, One Independence Ave., Quincy, Tuesday, September 30th at 11 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours have been omitted. Interment will take place at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Laaperis memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

David, I just heard about Lottie's passing Saturday! I was in South America on vacation when it happened. I don't see Matthew now that he is married - I would always keep up on Lottie's health from him. I found out from one of the guys at the store that knows you- crazy Mike. I'm so sorry! If I was around, I would have made a visit as I did when your Dad passed.

I hope to see you again at the store, so I can extend my sympathy in person. I hope she went quickly. She was a lovely person and I have many, many memories of her and your family!
