Audrey Peterson Obituary

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA Audrey Sears (Abbott) Peterson, 82, passed away September 8, 2008 at Elmhaven Care Center in Stockton, CA. Born March 30, 1926 in Boston, MA and raised in Braintree and Wollaston, MA; a graduate of North Quincy High School in 1944 and Burdett College. She was the daughter of the late Herbert M. and Lillian Grace (Sears) Abbott. Audrey went to San Francisco, CA in 1960, where she lived before moving to Stockton, CA in 1969. She was a legal secretary for 30 years and retired in 2004 after working for Richard Johnson, Atty. A member of the Stockton Genealogical Society, Stockton Legal Secretary Association, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Order of Eastern Star and an active member of the First Congregational Church in Stockton, CA. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Gerald B. Peterson in 1979 and brother H. Allan Abbott in 2005. She is survived by her son, Donald A. Abbott, of Martin, TN; granddaughter Rachel Leigh Abbott of Los Angeles, CA and sister Shirley E. Abbott Rogers, of Clovis, CA; brother William A. Abbott and wife Dorothy of Naples, FL formerly of Wollaston, MA. A Graveside Service was held in Harlan, Iowa. Remembrances may be made in her memory to First Congregation Church, 6702 Inglewood Ave., Stockton, CA 95207.
