Harlie Danforth Obituary

Harlie Danforth FALMOUTH and FL and formerly of Pembroke, died on September 26, 2008 at his home in Falmouth at the age of 61. He was the long-term loving companion of Beverly Abati of Falmouth. Brother of Maureen MacDonald and her husband Bruce of Hanover, Gail Danforth of Scituate, William Danforth of Pembroke, Dawn Danforth of Marshfield and the late James P. Danforth. Stepfather of Trace and Tim Correia and the late Robert Ghelfi, Jr. Stepgrandfather of Tina, Sarah, Chelsea, Megan and Grace. Uncle of Danita Leonard, David Bonneau, Erin Danforth, Jamie Leonard and many other nieces and nephews. Harlie was born in Boston, and was raised in Pembroke, lived in Falmouth and wintered in FL. He was a Viet Nam Veteran in the Navy in which he received the National Defense Services Medal, was a member of the Elks (P.E.R). Harlie enjoyed playing horseshoes, pool and his friends. Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday October 2, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home (Rte-14, Pembroke Center). A funeral will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery with Military Honors on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Harlies name to American Legion Post 164, 571 West Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach, FL 33426.
