Blanche C. Goodwin

Blanche C. Goodwin QUINCY Blanche C. (Fox) Goodwin, of Quincy passed away at home on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at age 92. Born in Winthrop, she was raised and educated in Quincy, she lived here all her life, and was a graduate of Quincy High in 1935. A homemaker, Blanche was active in the Hough's Neck Congregational Church where she was Past President and Historian for Life of the Mothers' Club. She was also Past President of the Houghs Neck Senior Citizens' Club. Beloved wife of the late William Blaney and the late Glen Goodwin, Blanche is the beloved mother of Robert C. Blaney and his wife Barbara A. of Quincy, Jeanne Matthew and her husband Alex of Manchester, CT and the late William Blaney and loving step mother of Richard Goodwin and his wife Lou of Hull and John Goodwin and his wife Jean of Marshfield. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Blackman, Kathryn Austin and Doris Piscitello and his also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center, on Thursday, October 2 from 9:00 to 11:00 am with a Service in the Funeral Home to follow.
