The neighborhood will never be the same without our dear Ruthie. She had a personality like no one I have ever known - very generous in kind and spirit and always spoke her mind. Ruthie was special to me, my husband and our 2 daughters and our lives are richer for having known her and been her friend. Ruthie made me laugh; she always had a twinkle in her eye. Those blue eyes!! We love you Ruthie - Brad, Shanti, Shayna & Pasha.

My first memory of Ruthie was the day we moved to Welland Rd. in 1972. Since then she has been always a part of our lives. my son David ,who had Cystic Fibrosis, couldn't have chocolate. Ruthie made sure that on Halloween she had a candy that he could have. She made everyone feel special!! I will miss her friendship, her positive attitude, her "I am so happy for you, I have something for you, but bring over your own pan, your garden looks beautiful, and Look at those beautiful legs" She loved to compare Yvonne's son Robbie and my son Jamie." You mothers are so alike" I shall miss her humor and her special laugh, her " Joan, I need you, or will you get my mail for me? I am going to Yvonne's, I shall miss her stories about her family and how much she loved them all and how special they all were to her. I Love you Ruthie, You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Unfortunately I just found out about Ruth's death as she was a dear friend of my grandmother, Florence Dodge. Wish I could have made her services but could not. I have many ,many fond memories of Ruth as a very special friend to my grandmother and my mother, Mary Jane (Cuddahy) Maushart from Capital Supermarket days. The thing I remember the most is her big sense of humor, friendship and that she was a very kind /funny person. A true blessing to anyone who crossed her path. She will truly be missed by all and she will always be remembered in my heart..
Ruthie,
Thanks for the memories and your great sense of humor.
I won't say goodbye but instead say " see you later..my friend"...with love, Roy Cuddahy (grandson of Florence Dodge, formerly 27 Bicknell Rd, N. Weymouth,Ma. ) now Gilford, NH.
If someone could e-me directions to her plot ,so I can visit and say a prayer , I would be grateful as she was a special extended member of my family. Infamously known as Aunt, Ruffie.. ([email protected])
Sincerely My Condolences,
Roy Cuddahy

Ruthie was a very special person to me as I was growing up next door to her in Weymouth. She always was interested in what and how I was doing. Our "woman to woman" talks were affirming and supportive. She could remember what it was like being a girl and adolescent herself and advocated for me with my mom to let me wear lipstick or nylons, shave my legs, go somewhere-whatever I dearly wanted to do as part of becoming a young woman. My sympathy to all her family and friends on her death.

Ruthie, my "other mother". I still tell people of our adventures of making the anniversary cake for mom and dad and hiding my broken thermos and buying the kitten for Barbara, you were always a great "partner in crime"! I remember fondly my Portuguese lessons from your mom & Johnnies and the hunt for the "beetle bombs". I will always count candies out by color b/c of your always present glass gum drop dish. I am glad you were always there to laugh with and cry with when I needed a friend to do either. I will miss you, but now you are with Johnny again and the circle is complete. Love you, xo God Bless you and your family and friends. Nancy(Barter) Baez

Ruthie was a lovely person whom I was lucky to have known my whole life as she was my grandmothers friend and next door neighbor. I can still hear her contagious laugh (which i loved) as I type this, she was always there with a smile, a hug and a kiss every time i saw her - no matter how long it had been since we last saw one another! She will always have a special place in my heart! God Bless you Ruthie, and may he also watch over your family and friends during this difficult time. Love you - Monique
