Mary T. Tierney HULL Mary T. (Toomey) of Hull died October 31, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Tierney. Devoted mother of Francis J. Tierney, Jr. and his wife Katherine of Pembroke, John Tierney and his wife Deborah of Whitman, Thomas Tierney and his wife Diane of Encinitas, CA, Mary Ellen Quigley and her husband Paul of Abington, Timothy Tierney and his wife Maryann of E. Bridgewater, Caroline Field and her husband Leonard of Rockland, Patricia Giardino and her husband Daniel of Bellingham, Michael Tierney and his wife Carole of Marshfield, Bridget Tierney of Hull, Maureen Donovan and her husband Brian of Hull. Loving sister of Agnes Toomey of S. Boston, Ellie Kanall of Winthrop, Margaret Vieira of Hull, Frances Bonner of Concord, and the late Anna Pedro, Alice Toomey, Catherine Reynolds, and Thomas Toomey. Dear sister-in-law of the late Mary M. Tierney. Mary is lovingly survived by 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary has been a resident of Hull for over 45 years. In Mary's younger years, she worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone. During that time, she traveled with coworkers throughout Europe. After Mary got married, she began her next career as a devoted and loving mother to 10 children. She enjoyed Broadway musicals, was an avid fan of the Red Sox, NE Patriots, and figure skating. Most of all, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all those who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham, Friday at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann's Church, Hull at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-8 p.m. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
