Kathleen,Maryanne,Tish,Jane,John,Colleen,Uncle Tom and extended family, I wish I were there to give you a family hug. Words cannot adequately express my heartfelt sympathy for all of you. I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed on. Maryanne & Jane it seems like only yesterday
we were hugging in my dads living room. I share your pain, I really do. Your mom was a very strong, loving, faith based caring woman. A part of your mom will live with all of you forever...I know it is an awful loss and while we all feel like our parents are with us forever, sadly they aren't. I'm sure she is in Heaven right now with Dad, Eddie, Tommy and my mom watching over everyone and praying for us everyday. Celebrate your moms life and cherish the good times, keep your memories tucked in a very special place in your heart. A place for you to visit from time to time and trust me you will. Everytime you do a smile will pierce your lips and yeah there will be an occasional tear, a loving one, there always will be...I will light a candle for mom and all of you in church on Sunday. Please stay strong.....I wish I could be there with you as you all were with us.....
Love to all of you

Hugs to all the Monahans....Through your tears, and after they dry, you will have the memory of such a beautiful, honorable soul; someone you were lucky enough to call "Mom". I have no doubt she is basking in magnificence with the Lord she loved so much! Wishing you love and peace, Mary Fitz

To the Burke/Monahan Family - Such an incredible loss!
Her laughter was infectious. Her love of, and devotion to family, faith, friends and community was unwavering. The Star of the Sea faith community and Squantum have indeed lost a great friend and neighbor. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to all of you.
She was so proud of all of you and YOU are her greatest legacy.

Mrs. Mary Monahan, queen of the heart and soul belly laugh. She so obviously cherished her family, her life and her faith. What a gift to the universe.
She also graciously enjoyed and encouraged a gang of "spirited" youth growing up in Squantum. There should be a reward for that.
Love,
Margie Dow
