Owen Henehan Obituary

W. NEWFIELD, ME Owen "Gene" Henehan, of W. Newfield, Maine, formerly of Weymouth, died November 5, 2008 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Home in N. Andover. Husband of the late Claire Reardon and Marjorie Helpin. Father of Thomas of Foxboro, Timothy of Weymouth, Jennifer Orcutt of Weymouth and the late Christine Henehan. Companion of Penny Demeritt of ME and her family Pamela, Jonathan and James. Brother of James of CA, Joseph of Medford, Mary Rollins of CA, Marguerite Kreitman of GA and the late Thomas Henehan. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Roxbury, he had lived in Weymouth for 60 years before moving to Maine 10 years ago. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Gene retired in 1994 after 27 years as part owner of the Renner Tool and Supply Co. in Dorchester. He was a member of the Good Sam RV Club and Winnebago Itasca Travelers of Iowa. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St., (Rt. 37) Braintree, Monday, November 10 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service and Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Foxboro Against Diabetes, P.O. Box 37, Foxboro, MA 02035 or Beacon Hospice (payable to Lighthouse Hospice Foundations) 350 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
