Virginia Foley Obituary

HYDE PARK Virginia A. "Ginny" Foley, of Hyde Park, died Wednesday, November 5th, 2008 at the Stanley P. Tippett Hospice Home in Needham after a brief battle with cancer. She was 75. Born on April 27, 1933 in Hyde Park, daughter of the late George A. and Loretta M. (Guinazzo) Foley. Ms. Foley was a lifelong resident of the Hyde Park section of Boston. A graduate of Boston College, Ms. Foley was employed as a 4th Grade and Middle School Teacher with the Braintree School Department for over 28 years and was a member of the Massachusetts Teacher Association. A daily communicant at Saint Pius X Church in Milton, Ms. Foley was a lector and Eucharistic Minister. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling all over the world, she was a member of the MIL-PARK Seniors and numerous civic groups and she was a Tour Guide for Historic Boston by Foot. She is survived by her devoted siblings Marie F. Mulloney and Louis R. Foley, both of Milton and her loving nieces and nephews Mary E. Dooling, Robert Mulloney, Margaret O'Shea, George, Raymond, Paul and James Foley. In addition she is survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral from the Laughlin, Nichols and Pennacchio Funeral Home, 34 Oak St., (Cor., Maple and Oak St. - Cleary Sq.) HYDE PARK, on Monday, November 10th at 9 :00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at Saint Pius X Church, Milton at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, November 9th from 4 - 8 p.m. (Doorman, Parking) Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Sisters of the Charity of Nazareth, P.O. Box 9, Nazereth, KY 40048.
