Shirley Lungrin Obituary

SCITUATE Shirley Ann (Shannon) Lungrin, age 73, of Scituate, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 after a short illness. Shirley was the beloved mother of seven sons; Steven and wife, Renee of Spring Lake, MI, Arthur Jr. and wife Carol of Scituate, MA, Donald of Cary, NC, Robert and wife Cheryl of Moscow, PA, Michael and wife Barbara of Mesa AZ, Patrick and wife Stacie of Cedar Rapids IA., and Scott and wife Bess of Dover MA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; Austin, Sean, Matthew, Melissa, Brandon, Andrew, Donovan, Michela, Kelly, John, Maddie, Giselle, Colleen, James and Emma. Mrs. Lungrin was preceded in death by her husband, William Lungrin and her mother, Ethel Gibson both formerly of Scituate, MA. Shirley was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Watertown NY. Shirley was an avid bowler, bingo enthusiast, card player and animal lover. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Shirley loved the ocean, spent many years in Marathon Key and St. Augustine FL., but always felt Scituate was her home. She enjoyed spending time with her large family and many friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Services on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 3:00 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church 465 First Parish Rd., Scituate, MA. Interment private. shirley, thank you so much for giving me the chance to be you're stepdaughter, you were always very kind to me. I'M the luckiest woman to have had the chance to have you as a stepmom and and all the boys as my brothers,Michael,Patrick,Bobby,Scott, Donny and Arthur and Steven. We did not know Shirley very long maybe a yr., she was the best friend anyone could have, will miss her at bingo, she brought everyone she was with a lot of joy.
