Charles Sillars Obituary

MARSHFIELD Charles D. Sillars, Jr., of Marshfield, formerly of No. Abington, November 9, at the age of 84. Son of the late Charles D. and Jeanette (Thomeyer) Sillars. Brother of Helen E. Arsenault of Warne, NC and Dorothy Madeiros of Dennis, MA. Dear friend of Robert Durling of Marshfield. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charlie was born in Lynn, MA. Graduated from Abington High School and was a retired Traffic Manager for Howard Johnson Distribution Center. He was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army Military Police. Charlie was a member of the Marshfield Elks and the American Legion. Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., Rte. l39, Marshfield on Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by The Sea Church at l0 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Avon. Mr. Sillars,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
