George Pohl Obituary

RANDOLPH George E. Pohl, Sr. of Randolph formerly of South Boston died at the age of 76 after a period of failing health Nov. 9, 2008. Beloved husband of Kathleen F. Kitty (Kelly) Pohl. Loving father Nancy Sera of Taunton, Kathleen McGibbon of Stoughton, George E. Pohl, Jr. of Stoughton, Michael Pohl of Norton, Judy Rood of Randolph, Jeanne Kadlick of Walpole, Lori Grafton of Marion, Lisa Camozzi of Canton, Elaine Flaherty of Kingston, Anthony Pohl of E. Bridgewater, Jodi Flaherty of Randolph, Donald Pohl of Stoughton, Dennis Pohl, Anne Marie Pohl, and Daniel Pohl all of Randolph and Matthew Pohl of Braintree. Devoted brother of William Pohl of Raynham, the late Mary Sparrow, Madeline Cassford, Marjorie Michaels, Edward Pohl, Robert Pohl, and Joan Pohl. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Pohl was born in Boston and raised in So. Boston. He was a retired custodian for City of Boston and had worked at Hyde Park High School for 37 years and retired about 16 years ago. He was a member of the City of Boston Custodian Assoc. He was an antique car enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows. Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph MA until 8:00 AM Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Bernadette Church, Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
