Barbara was an immensely caring person, who always, always had nice things to say about everyone. I have a vivid memory of the day Jerry planted a flower bed alongside the back fence at Great Pond Road, thinking it would please her. I can still see her beaming down at it from the back porch, touched not so much by the flowers as by her son's industry, and thoughtfulness, always, for his mother. I have wonderful memories of youthful good times with the Schindler kids, and Fred's patient, home spun sensibility. I am sorry to hear of Barbara's passsing, but comforted in knowing that she knew she was loved by her family, and will be missed by many. My best to Jerry, Donny, Jeanne Marie, John and Paul. Love, Richard O'Brien

My sincere condolences to Fred and the Schindler family. I recall many good times and fond memories of time spent with your mother at Holidays and special events relating to the kids. We always had a nice "talk" and of course, a few good laughs. She will be greatly missed, but please take solace in the fact that she is no longer suffering and is now at peace. Love, Peggy
