Kathleen Farese Obituary

PEMBROKE Kathleen Farese, of Pembroke, died on November 10, 2008 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Kingston. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Farese served in The United States Coast Guard SPAR program from 1943-1945 as a yeoman second-class. She was first married to Louis Williams Ashforth, Bill, who died in Korea while serving in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Farese is a 1972 graduate of Northeastern University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to Boston State College where she graduated in 1974 with her M.S. in Education and School Psychology. She later remarried, to Louis W. Farese, now deceased. Beloved mother of William R. Ashforth of W. Virginia, and Robert J. Ashforth of California. Sister of Frances Hegarty. Loving grandmother of Jeanine, Kerry, Brittany, and Benjamin. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 14th at 10:00 at St. Theclas Church, 145 Washington St., Pembroke. Interment will be at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. Mrs. Farese,
Maam, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USCG during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
