Margaret R. Cook Menz QUINCY Margaret R. (Tobin) Cook Menz, passed away peacefully on November 13. Born and raised in Arlington, Margaret resided in Milton for many years, prior to her move to Quincy 7 years ago. A retired Executive Secretary of the U.S. Postal Service, So. Postal Annex, Boston, she was a late officer of Chapter # 79 D.A.V., Quincy, a late member of the Morrisette Post, #294 A.L., Quincy and The Marine Caddy Post, Quincy and an active member of Bay State Chapter One Womens Marine Corp. Margaret was a WW II Marine Corps. veteran. She is survived by her devoted children; Sandra Doherty, Lorraine Ahern, Mary Barbone, Joseph, George, Louis, Fred, David and John Cook, her husband Edward V. Menz of Quincy, her stepchildren; Joanne Porter, Therese McKenzie, Edward, Jr., Leo, Kenneth and Karen Menz, her brother, Frederick Tobin of Arlington, 25 loving grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Leo E. Cook, Jr. and wife of the late Leo E. Cook. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Monday at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m. Interment in Milton Cemetery.
