Almira Sinopoli

QUINCY Almira (Pepi) Sinopoli died Thursday, November 13 at Quincy Medical Center. She was 86. Mrs. Sinopoli was the beloved wife of Salvatore Sinopoli. Born in Boston on April 4, 1922, Mrs. Sinopoli was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Monello) Pepi. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1941 and became a Practical Nurse due to a shortage of nurses during WWII. She ventured to Montana for 5 years, then spent 14 years in Newton before returning to Quincy in 1971 with her husband. Mrs. Sinopoli had many pets over the years and became a member of the Quincy Animal League. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sinopoli is also survived by her sister Barbara Pollard of Bristol, NH, many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. Her funeral will be from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy, on Monday, November 17 at 10 a.m., followed by a graveside service in Pine Hill Cemetery at 11a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
