John Quinn Obituary

John J. Jack Quinn, EAST WEYMOUTH John J. "Jack" Quinn, 76 of E. Weymouth died on November 14, 2008 at the Cedar Hill Healthcare Center in Randolph after a period of failing health. He was born in Boston, son of the late Joseph T. and Irene F. (OBrien) Quinn and was raised and educated there. Jack has made his home in Weymouth for the past 35 years. He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Quinn retired several years ago after a long career as an upholsterer for Twin City and Hancock Upholstery Companies. He was a member of the Weymouth Knights of Columbus and had been a competitive roller skating dancer. Husband of the late Kathleen M (Gauss) Quinn, he is survived by his children, Kimberly A. Karas of Abington, Sean P. Quinn of Norton, James F. Quinn of Weymouth, Daniel E. Quinn of San Diego and Brian J. Quinn of Rockland. Jack was the brother of Dorothea Hautaniemi of NY, Cecelia Toland of Framingham and the late Irene Reagan, Thomas Quinn, Joseph Quinn, Nancy Dye and Josephine Quinn. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 8:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Albert the Great Church in Weymouth at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
