Phyllis McConnell-Hohmann Obituary

Phyllis E. Hohmann QUINCY Phyllis E. (MacKintire) McConnell-Hohmann of Quincy, age 97, passed away on Monday, Nobember 17, 2008 at the William B. Rice Eventide Home. She was born in Medford and resided in Quincy for the pas t 78 years. She worked as a Bookkeeper for 12 years for Bensdorps Importers. She also worked for the Red Coach Grill for 3 years and volunteered at Quincy Hospital in the Radiology Department, and was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Wollaston Congregational Church. She was the wife of the late Ellsworth J. McConnell and the late Carl Hohmann. Mother of Robert McConnell of Weymouth and Kenneth J. McConnell of Quincy. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Leigh and Mathew McConnell of Weymouth, and a niece Beverly Bell of NH. Sister of the late Woodrow Wilson "Bud" MacKintire of Quincy. Funeral Service and Burial will be private. Visiting hours Wednesday, Nobember 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' memory to the William B. Rice Eventide Home, 215 Adams St., Quincy MA 02169. www.hamelfuneralcare.com
