Elinor Perry Obituary

YARMOUTH Elinor R. (Gauthier) Perry of Yarmouth passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, November 16 at the age of 85. She is survived by her beloved high school sweetheart, Edward A. Perry, who she married after he returned from WW II in 1945 and was happily married for 62 years. Born in Quincy, she graduated from North Quincy High School and moved to Cape Cod in 1971. She was a secretary at Raytheon in Quincy and later for the administrator of Cape Cod Hospital, Elinor retired in 1986. She is the beloved mother of Patricia Scarlata and her husband Paul of Plymouth, Edward A. Perry, Jr. and his wife Maureen Dion Perry of Camino, CA. Elinor is the grandmother of Christina Scarlata of New York City, Michael Scarlata of Boston, Andrew Scarlata of Hoboken, NJ and Allison Perry of Camino, CA. She is survived by her sister Louise Tighe of Fairhaven and her brother Robert Gauthier of Rockland. Elinor is brother to the late John Gauthier. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 11:30 AM at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA. Visitation with the family will be beginning at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Morris & OConnor Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, MA.
