Jack Green Obituary

QUINCY Jack Joseph Green, of Quincy, died peacefully in his home on November 16, 2008, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Joyce (Carter) Green of Quincy. Devoted father of Sharron and her husband Chip Cargo of Maryland, Stephen Green and his companion Donna Barresi of Quincy, Lisa Marie and her husband Charlie Delaney of New Hampshire, Sean Green and his wife Heather Mae of Quincy, Lisa Aprille of Quincy, and the late Linda Aprille. Cherished grandfather of Connor Green, Renee Delaney and Tyler and Dalton Cargo. Also survived by one sister. Loving uncle of Joyce, Colleen and Ryan Melchione. Jack has been a resident of Quincy for 35 years. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1959. He served in the United States Army. Jack was a carpenter, supervisor and licensed builder for C.B. Construction Co. Inc and was very passionate about his job. He took great pride in completing all of his projects and woodworkings. He also loved Nascar, cooking on the grill, drag racing during his youth, and attending lobster luncheons on the Spirit of Boston with his wife, Joyce. Jack loved his cat Sparky and spending quality time with his baby grandson Connor. His family describes him as a loving, patient, humorous and gentle man who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial visitation in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday from 1 - 3 PM. A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to either the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main St., Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760 or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor New York, NY 10005. Lisa, Joyce and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jacks passing. I remember being a teenager coming over to his welcoming laugh and teasing ways.
Always made me smile and feel at home.
