Joe was a great help to me. He worked at my house in Humarock, as well as our business in Hingham. He always had the best and most practical way of fixing things. He didn't just paint something, he fixed whatever was needed along the way. He loved to listen to his radio while he worked, and I loved it too. I also loved his PINK tools. He told me that no one would ever "borrow" them. He was a quiet, gentle man who always did what he said he would do. I was sorry that I could not make the service in Whitman. My sympathy to his family.

Mr. Flanagan,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
