Paul Morrissey Obituary

HOLBROOK Paul J. Morrissey of Holbrook passed away unexpectedly at the age of 78 November 21, 2008. Beloved husband of 54 years to Christine M. (Kelly) Morrissey. Loving father of Christine Cindy Morrissey of Ithaca, NY, Rosemary Harris of Mashpee, Kevin Morrissey and Michael Morrissey both of Bridgewater, Mark Morrissey of Holbrook and Paula Markowicz of E. Bridgewater. Devoted brother of Frank Morrissey of Randolph and Theresa Feldman of Mashpee. Dear grampa of Kaitlyn Brosnan, Danielle Morrissey, Kristin Morrissey, Michael Morrissey, Kevin Morrissey, and Deliah Markowicz. Mr. Morrissey was born in Boston and has lived in Holbrook for the past 54 years. He was very active in the Holbrook youth baseball program having been a coach for over 50 years. He coached Little League, Sr. League, C.Y.O., Legion Baseball, Semi-Pro, and was also an umpire. Paul was a member of the William B. Dalton Post American Legion, Holbrook. During the Korean Conflict he served in the Airborne Division of US Army. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St., (Rte. 37) Holbrook until 8:00 AM Tuesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to either the American Heart Assoc. or the National Diabetes Foundation.
