Margaret Black Obituary

MILTON Margaret T. Peggy (Fitzgibbons) Black passed away suddenly at Milton Hospital on November 22. Born in Boston, Mrs. Black attended Dorchester schools & resided in Mattapan, prior to her move to Milton 15 years ago. A retired administrative assistant of Citibank, she was a longtime volunteer of St. Francis House, Boston and an active member of the Milton C.O.A. The beloved wife of the late Vincent Black, she is survived by her nieces and nephews; John Fitzgibbons, M.D. & his wife, Beverly of CT, Jane Fitzgibbons of VA, David Fitzgibbons of AZ, Paul Fitzgibbons of VA and many other loving nieces, nephews & cousins. She was the special aunt of Richard & Carol Walsh of Quincy and the devoted sister of the late John P. Fitzgibbons, Sr. Maria Lawrence SC & Catherine Fitzgibbons. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton, Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Interment in New Calvary Cemetery. I have known Peggy my whole life.
She remembers when I learned to walk and when my parent's called me Precious.
She has always been a treasure to my Mom, Dad my husband and my girls. We will miss her smile and upbeat personality.
