Hi McGonagle family,
It is hard to even begin to say how sorry I am to hear of Eddie's passing. For some time now I have had him on my mind not knowing why. I tried several times over the last few months to find an e-mail or phone number by way of the enter net, I even tried connecting through face book and my space. Finally on Friday Aug 7, 2009 I called Mrs. McGonagle and asked how he was and was told about his death. I'm very sad that I didn't know sooner. I think a month or so before he died he called me and we talked for two hours, just catching up on old times. We even talked about maybe seeing each other again. My loss, that I didn't make it happen. As most of you know Eddie and your family was a big part of my high school years. I wish now I could of known the man he became. He was such a gentle soul and loved from a place some of us never know. I have so many wonderful memories of him and all the fun things we did, our trips to the beach, the park, the dances, just hangin out on Rossemore Rd with friends. He was such a good friend to all that had the desire to be in his world. I would love to hear from any of you that want to talk to me. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends, and to you Frank I'm so glad he found someone to share his love with.

We all loved Ed so much. All the holidays we spent together, hanging out at the fire pit, birthdays, or just getting together to catch up over some wine-- those were some of the best time I have had in my life. Ed, we will miss you so much and you will always be in our hearts. We will always remember all of the wonderful memories you blessed upon us. Frank, we love you so much and please let me know if there is anything I can do. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Frank and the McGonagle family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Ed was truly a good person and will be missed by all. As a kid growing up in Roslindale, Ed was always fun to be around. He was a funny guy who would always take the time to sit and talk. He is now with your dad.

Dear Frank, Jeanne & Family,

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of Ed. He was a wonderful man who touched the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. Last summer, after spending an evening around the fire pit with Ed, Frank, and friends, my twin daughters mused to me how fun it will be when they are grown up to sit around the fire pit with Ed, Frank, Mr. Williams and Dad when they are all old men. How I wish that this scenario was still possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Frank, please do not hesitate to let us know if you need us for anything.
