Muriel W. Kelly BRAINTREE Muriel W. (Woodman) Kelly, 96 years of age, passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Monday, November 24, 2008. She was born in Boston and was a long time Braintree resident. She was a former secretary for New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1970. At Emmanuel Church, she was a member of St. Marys Guild and had participated in Thrift Shop activities for many years. She had worked on the Christmas fairs and rummage sales at the Church, and was one of the oldest members of Emmanuel Parish. She was a member of the Puritan Bridge Club in Braintree. Muriel enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had made many pairs of gloves for homeless persons. Muriel was the wife of the late Edward B. Kelly and the devoted mother of Michael D. Kelly and Stephen Edward Kelly married to Cindy Kelly, all of Braintree. She is the loving grandmother of Matthew E. Kelly married to Sarabeth Kelly of Weymouth, Patrick E. Kelly of Somerville and Megan M. Kelly of South Boston. She was the sister of the late Dana Woodman. A Eucharistic Funeral Service will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 519 Washington St., Braintree on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Adrian Stair, former rector of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at the Plain Street Cemetery, South Braintree. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE. Memorial Donations may be sent to Emmanuel Parish at the address shown above.
