Dennis LeFort Obituary

PEMBROKE PINES, FLA Dennis J. LeFort of Pembroke Pines, FL. (formerly of North Quincy) passed away peacefully on October 23, 2008. He was born on August 15, 1933. He was a retired nurse of over 30 years. He was born and educated in Somerville, Ma. He served in the Army and was veteran of the Korean war. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart . He was an avid cook and loved the opera. He is survived by his wife Judith A. LeFort of 35 years. He was a devoted stepfather of Donald Reidy and Robert Reidy both of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Amanda Reidy, Olivia Reidy, Robert Reidy, and Michael Reidy of Marshfield. He is survived by his three sisters and two brothers, Nora Peters of Falmouth, Hilda Crowley of Hyannis, Lucy Caruso of Somerville, Sam LeFort of Pembroke Pines, Fla, and John LeFort of Lynnfield. He is also the brother of the late Gina LeFort and George LeFort. Services will be private at the National Cemetery in Bourne.

Mr. LeFort,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Korea fighting the Communist North Koreans and Chinese. Because of you and fellow Servicemen, millions of South Koreans were able to live in freedom and prosperity and make their country one of the most industrious of the Free World. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
