Samuel Silverman Obituary

BOSTON Samuel Sheldon Silverman, of Boston, entered into rest on November 24, 2008. Beloved husband of Elinor (Francer) Silverman. Dear son of Hyman and Fannie Silverman. Devoted father of Laurie J. Shaffer of Lafayette, CA and Jon D. Silverman of San Jose, CA. Loving brother of Celia Becker and the late Manuel, Saul, Benjamin, Louis, Sydney and Bernard. Also survived by grandchildren Andrew J. Silverman and Melissa Shaffer and many loving nieces and nephews. Samuel was an active member of the Jewish War Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Elks. Services at Schlossberg-Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., Canton, 11 a.m. Friday, November 28. Interment at Quincy Hebrew Cemetery, Baker St., W. Roxbury. Memorial observance private. Mr. Silverman,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II and also for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
