Joyce A. McDonough BRAINTREE Joyce A. McDonough (McCarthy) age 71 of Braintree formerly of Dorchester passed away unexpectedly at the Mass. General Hospital in Boston on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Joyce was born, raised and educated in Dorchester and moved to Braintree 39 years ago. She was a homemaker, her love was her family, grandchildren and friends. Summers she enjoyed spending time on Minot Beach in Scituate and also enjoyed traveling. Beloved wife of 49 years to Edward J. Buddy McDonough. Loving mother of Mark McDonough and his wife Lisa of Belmont, Joseph McDonough of Abington, Elizabeth Barry and her husband Joseph of Abington, Kara Tempesta and her husband Sean of Braintree, John McDonough and his wife Kelly of Canton. Devoted Grandmother of Christopher, Nicole, Ryan, Daniel, Bryan, Alicia, Colleen, Molly, Lauren, Payton, Jared, Regan, Edward and the late Allison. Sister of John McCarthy of Quincy and Dr. Maurice McCarthy of Duxbury. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, SO. WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte.18 opposite South Shore Hospital) Saturday at 10:30 A.M., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clares Church, Braintree at 11:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 3-8 P.M. Interment Plain St. Cemetery, Braintree.
