Florence Meyer Obituary

BRAINTREE Florence D. (Davis) Meyer, age 88, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Mrs. Meyer was born and raised in the Wollaston section of Quincy, and has lived in East Braintree for 55 years. Florence graduated from the Woodward School for Girls in 1938 and the Elliot Hospital Nursing School in Manchester, N.H. Mrs. Meyer was an R.N. at Quincy City Hospital, Quincy Nursing Home and for the late Dr. Archie Keigan. A member of the Union Congregational Church in Braintree, she belonged to the Flower Circle and the choir. Mrs. Meyer volunteered at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Beloved wife for 44 years to the late Robert F. Meyer. Devoted mother of Robert D. Meyer of Southboro, MA and Richard A. Meyer of Pembroke. Mother-in-law of Denise L. and Marijane. Loving grandmother of Gregory, Jill, Matthew, Janelle and Sarah. Great-grandmother of Andrew and Samantha. Funeral Services at the Union Congregational Church of Weymouth and Braintree, 74 Commercial St., Braintree on Monday, December 1 at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
