Mary Fowler Obituary

Mary Heer-mance Fowler MISSOURI Mrs. Mary Carol Heermance Fowler, age 67 years, of Jefferson City, MO., died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Villa Marie Nursing Center. Mary Carol was born June 4, 1941 in Quincy, MA, the daughter of Munroe and Clara Schatz MacLean, both deceased. Mary Carol was a 1959 graduate of Quincy High School, attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Lincoln University. She was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture, retiring as the Personnel Director in 1998. Mary Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one son: Glenn Heermance and his wife Amy of Bloomington, IL, four grandchildren: Jason, David, Jennifer, and Emily Heermance of Bloomington, IL, one sister: Jean Ann Phinney of Quincy, MA, one aunt: Mary Schatz of Sugarloaf, PA, her former husbands: Noel Heermance of Columbia, MO, and Steven fowler of FL. She leaves many dear friends including the residents of the Ted Herron Apartments. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City, MI, with the Rev. Mark Dumas officiating. Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Monday. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Glen,
I don't know if I will make it to the service tomorrow, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I don't know if your remember me, but when you were much younger, I was around quite a bit while your mom and I went to Lincoln. If I can do anything for you, please contact me. It's hard to picture Mary Carol not being with us. She always lit up a room and will remain bright in my memory. May God bless her family and friends.
