Kevin,
I'm going to miss you soo much. You were a big part of my life as well as my son. I looked up to you as a father and my kids looked up to you as their Papa. You loved my mom so much and she knows that. She loves you soo much too. You did soo much for me like cooking for my graduation party, my sons babyshowers, christenings and also birthday party. You were a great cook. I just want everyone including you to know you were a great guy no matter what the situation was. You were always looking to take care of us somehow, always wanted to take the kids to the park and on walks and even babysit. I also wanted everyone to know me and my family lost you too. I will miss you and love you always. 'll see you again someday. Watch down on us.
Love Always

..Colleen & Family
There is no rulebook on the loss of a sibling or a child. It is an unnatural order of events that we are never ever prepared for. It is my prayer that through this tragedy and with God's Grace your family will unite and become stronger in love. Every day counts! To quote Stephen: "heaven is a livelier place"

I know how good of a person you were. You were just like dad, always helping someone less fortunate or volunteering your time by helping do cooking for events at the VFW and other places. You were the take charge person when it came to planning fun things like camping trips or nights out. If you were going to be somewhere or do something you were going to have fun and that was that. I learned to play sports because of you and always looked up to how athletic you were and wanted to be as good as you. You were the cool one hanging out with the guys always having something to do or somewhere to go. I always wanted to be there with you. You were very protective of me about alot of things and it was always comforting to know that I could throw your name out there to certain crowds and it saved me from getting some good butt kickings. I was Kevin Houdes little brother and that meant something. You were trustworthy to the core also, there are things and secrets we shared that no on will ever be able to know and I will take them with me until I see you again. You were my big brother and I am going to miss you and I 'm not angry with you. The last time I saw you I was and you asked me not to be mad and what would that do. I know you will now find the peace and rest and eternal happiness that you deserve and someday we will see each other again. I know one thing for sure and that is Heaven is going to be a little livelier now.
Love Stephan

Kevin was also in a relationship with Sharon Carita for about nine years. He was Papa to her grandchildren and he was like a step dad to her three children. He will be truly missed.

I send my heartfelt sympathy to Kevin’s family and to those who loved him.
We shared a lot of laughs growing up. Kevin was a good friend of my brother’s. The memories began from the time we were kids and his dad was their baseball coach. I lost touch with Kevin a few years ago, but my brother never did. He will always be a cherished memory for me. His smile and laughter will be remembered forever.
To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die. Kevin will live in our hearts forever.
