Henry Phillips Obituary

WEYMOUTH Henry Wilton Phillips, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the age of 94. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife Virginia (Pray) Phillips, his daughter, Janice P. Bidmead and her husband Ernest of Norwell, his son, Lawrence W. Phillips of Sandwich, his grandchildren Steven Wallstrom of Pembroke, Deborah Perrault of Leominster and Lawrence W. Phillips Jr. of Sandwich and his great-grandchildren Ethan, Kaitlyn, Kylie and Emma Perrault all of Leominster. Will was a life long resident of Weymouth and graduate from Weymouth High School in 1931 before graduating from Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a supervisor at the Quincy Shipyard during World War II and then a clerk for Bellingham Hardware Store in Weymouth for many years and the Welch Hardware Store in Scituate for may years before retiring in 1981. Henry was a member of the Orphans Hope Lodge of Masons in Weymouth and loved gardening, woodworking, fishing and painting. Friends and relatives are invited to the Funeral Service at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbia Sq.) S. Weymouth on Tuesday, December 9 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry's memory to the Trinity Episcopal Church, 241 Broad St., Weymouth, MA 02188.
