Florence Cadogan Obituary

QUINCY Florence E. (Brundige) Cadogan- 75, of Quincy formerly of Weymouth passed away at the Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Quincy on Sunday, December 7, 2008. She was a former resident of Dorchester and Weymouth before moving to Quincy 9 years ago. She was a Communicant of St. Marys Church in West Quincy and a former Communicant of St. Albert the Great Parish in Weymouth. She was best known for her selflessness, unconditional love and dedication to her family. She was the wife of the late John M. Cadogan. She is survived by a daughter Brenda Martin of Buckingham, Virginia and a son Joseph Cadogan of Newport, New Hampshire. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Robert Brundige of Merrimack, New Hampshire and a sister Julia Whitford of Brockton. She was the sister of the late John, Arthur and Joseph Brundige and Theresa Ahern and Mary McDonald and Marion Haines. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad Street (opposite the US Post Office, Jackson square) EAST WEYMOUTH Thursday at 8:45am. There will be a procession to St. Marys Church, 95 Crescent Street QUINCY for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Reverend Father Dominic Menna will be the celebrant. Relatives and Friends are invited. Visiting hours will be today (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be ad Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester Donations in memory of Florence may be sent to: The Center for Mindfulness Stress Reduction Program, c/o of the University of Mass Memorial Foundation, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.

Ma, I will miss you! You are like another mother to me & I have a rose which I will press & put next to mums to keep forever. Now you can keep her company. Course I'll NEVER eat corned beef & cabbage without thinking of you! I love you sleep well sweet lady.

Now My Aunt Florence is one of thoses angels among her husband John and siblings John, Arthur, Joseph, Marion, Theresa and Mary.
