Donald Swanton Obituary

HOLBROOK Donald C. Swanton, of Holbrook, died December 11, at South Shore Hospital at age 73. He was born in Boston, raised in Milton and educated in Quincy. Donald has been a resident of Holbrook for the past 45 years. He worked as a fabricator at McCusker Sheet Metal Co. in Weymouth. He enjoyed building model ships and planes. Beloved husband of Majorie J. (Pitts) Swanton. Father of Kerry A., Paul and Eric Swanton all of Holbrook and Mark Swanton and his wife Barbara of Plymouth. Brother of William J. Swanton of Holbrook, Kenneth G. Swanton of Milton and the late John and Frederick Swanton and Elizabeth Temple. Also survived by his grandchildren Timothy, Jacqueline, Lindsay and Sean. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 South Franklin St., (Rt. 37) Holbrook, Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respect fully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 3 - 7 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery. Late U.S. Army National Guard Veteran.
